ABOUT US

My name is Emily Brower, and my husband Jesse and I are the owners of The Picnic Planner & Events. We are Joplin natives who came together in an unusual way, which was actually by doing a musical together! We played Link and Tracy in a community theatre production of Hairspray back in 2017, and then a couple years later, our “showmance” turned into marriage! We now live in the Joplin area with our two French bulldogs, Phoebe and Winston, who are basically our children! We are both creative-types, and whether it’s Sunday afternoon or date night, we love to come up with fun and special ways to spend time with one another.

 

One of our favorite things to do is to just sit outside with one another, eat some snacks, and enjoy the sunshine, and that is exactly what inspired us to start this new picnic service. We want others to have the chance to try a one-of-a-kind picnic experience that they cannot find anywhere else in the area, which is why our mission statement is, “We strive to craft a unique and affordable picnic experience that you will not soon forget!” We hope that people from all over the four-state area come to enjoy our innovative, pop-up picnics as much as we do!
